Recertify Your Lightning Protection System

A ‘no strike warranty’!

Ever heard about it?

Well, we provide one. Lightning Eliminators & Consultant Inc., offers a ‘no strike warranty’ on our manufactured and installed Lightning protection systems. But of course, you are required to have a recertification done annually in order to validate our warranty.

Once our lightning protection system is installed in your facility, it must be inspected and maintained like any other piece of equipment. A damaged lightning protection system is as dangerous as having no lightning protection at all.

Although maintaining your lightning protection equipment takes some time and effort, it is welcome relief for many companies. Those who don’t maintain and inspect them learn the hard way and have paid substantially for the failure to do so.

Dangers to various industries

Floating roof tank – a direct strike is not the only reason for these tanks to become vulnerable to fire; when the grounding connection is compromised, even a nearby strike can cause the electrons on the roof of the tank to create a spark.

Oil and gas industry - high electrostatic fields produced during thunder and lightning storms cause internal and external arcing subsequently causing an explosion of the chemical storage tanks. This is a hazardous and dangerous occurrence plaguing oil and gas industry.

Whether, upstream or downstream; platforms, rigs, tank farms, tank batteries, refineries, pipelines and structures near this equipment or their related sensitive electronics must be protected and that protection must be checked regularly to ensure that it is working properly.

Lightning Eliminators & consultants Inc recommends retests to be conducted annually. This ensures that the system is fully compliant all the year round. Like a mudslide can affect the positioning of a Chem Rod grounding solution or a tree that had fallen on the Dissipation Array system had damaged it. Anything can happen and rather than finding out the hard way, make proactive reviewing a regular practice.

If the recertification by us is not conducted the No-Strike Warranty is no longer in place and there is no certainty that the system will function properly when needed.
